Today we drove to the California coast. We stopped in Redding for lunch and gas and it was 99 degrees at noon. There was a nice lake we stopped and put our toes in, Whiskey town lake. When we got to the coast it was barely 70 degrees. I had class so we stopped at Starbucks for a few hours. We stayed at the Elk Country Inn and did not see any Elk. The next day we went to see the Redwoods. They are very tall and I love being in the forest.
Then we drove up the coast and looked for a place to camp. We found Boice-Cope county park in Langlois. It was $15 and had WiFi. For dinner we ate delicious pastries and pizza ant a place called Pastries and Pizza. The next day we continued up the coast and finally got to play in the sand. The ocean wasn’t even too cold. I had class again that day at another Starbucks. We ate dinner at a restaurant we ate at on a previous trip. Its called China Restaurant in Waldport. We sat at a booth and soon realized there were ants. We were swatting them away and the server came by and said. “sorry, that booth has ants.” We hurried back to our campsite at Carl G Washburn State Park and watched the sunset. We were the only ones on the beach.
