We are about 30 miles outside of Seattle and at the start of our 14 day vacation through Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming. This trip we decided to predict our favorites before we experience them. We both thought our favorite place would be Grand Teton. We think our favorite meals will be in Deadwood and Yellowstone. Our favorite drives will be Devil’s Tower and Wyoming. Our favorite towns will be Deadwood and Jenny Lake. Our favorite views will be Mt. Rushmore and Grand Tetons.
July 29th, 2018
Our next stop on our trip was Billings. It is a good stop before South Dakota and we get to visit with Kirk’s uncle Bill. We got in about 7pm and it was right after a big thunderstorm blew through. We didn’t see it but we saw the aftermath. There were leaves and hail everywhere. We went to dinner at Famous Dave’s once Kirk’s dad caught up to us, then hit up some mini casinos.
The next day we got breakfast and did a tour of Billings. Then we went to the big outdoor store, Scheels. We played arcade games, got some fudge and did some shopping. We took a little nap before heading off to the Billings Mustangs baseball game. It was rained out the day before so we were going to get a double header. Before the game could start another thunderstorm rolled in and we had to wait out the rain for about 45 minutes. But then the sun came out and we watched the first game, which they won!
